Shipping
Shipping charges are calculated based on the weight assigned to each work.
Domestic Shipping (Japan)
A flat shipping fee of ¥2,000 applies to deliveries within Japan.
International Shipping
International shipping charges are calculated according to the weight assigned to each work as follows:
- 0–1.9 kg: ¥15,000
- 2–5.9 kg: ¥30,000
- 6–9.9 kg: ¥50,000
- 10–19.9 kg: ¥80,000
- 20–30 kg: ¥120,000
Once the shipping address is entered during checkout, the shipping fee will be calculated automatically based on the weight assigned to each work.
If the destination is considered a remote area, or if the shipping carrier imposes special handling fees, fuel surcharges, or other additional charges, additional shipping fees may apply. Should this occur, we will contact you before shipment, provide a quotation for the additional cost, and proceed only after receiving your approval.
For large works weighing more than 30 kg, or works requiring special handling or transportation, shipping charges will be quoted individually. Please contact us before placing your order.
Any customs duties, import taxes, value-added tax (VAT), customs clearance fees, or other charges incurred in the destination country are the responsibility of the customer (recipient).
Gallery Son will select the most appropriate shipping carrier and delivery method according to the nature of the work and the destination. Requests for a specific carrier or shipping method cannot generally be accommodated.
Delivery to certain countries or regions may become unavailable due to international circumstances, suspension of air services, or a carrier's suspension of acceptance. Should this occur, we will contact you promptly and issue a full refund of both the price of the work and the shipping fee.
If you have a preferred delivery date or time, please contact us before placing your order. We may not be able to accommodate such requests or changes after an order has been confirmed.
Delivery Times
To ensure that each work arrives safely, all orders are shipped using a trackable shipping service.
The most suitable shipping method will be arranged according to the size, weight, and destination of each work.
Orders are normally dispatched within 5–10 business days after both the order and payment have been confirmed.
Estimated delivery times after dispatch:
- Within Japan: approximately 2–4 days
- International: approximately 7–20 days
Delivery times may vary depending on the destination country or region, customs clearance procedures, the carrier's operations, and local conditions.
Delays may also occur due to natural disasters, customs inspections, international circumstances, major public events, or other circumstances beyond our control. We appreciate your understanding.
Damage During Shipping
Each work is carefully packed to help ensure that both the work and its outer packaging arrive in the best possible condition.
However, once a shipment has been handed over to the carrier, damage may occasionally occur during transportation or handling.
If your work arrives damaged, please take photographs of both the work and the outer packaging and send them to us.
If the damage is confirmed to have occurred during transit, returns will be accepted within 20 days of the delivery date. In such cases, Gallery Son will cover the return shipping costs. Please note that we do not accept returns for international shipments. For how damage is handled in those cases, please see our Refund Policy.
